Good morning, America. Welcome to the VICE Sports World News Roundup. Be sure to stop by daily for your morning headlines.

It's the 11th of November, 2015, and Sepp Blatter is still, technically, president of FIFA.

The German 2006 World Cup scandal is the gift that keeps on giving. Today, police in Malta have reportedly raided the Maltese Football Association offices. Former Malta FA boss Joseph Mifsud may have taken a bribe from the German World Cup Organizing Committee and arranged friendlies with Bayern Munich in a quid pro quo agreement to secure Mifsud's vote for the 2006 World Cup, which took place in Germany.

But that's not all! As I reported yesterday, BILD found a document, signed by Franz Beckenbauer, German legend and head of the 2006 World Cup bid committee, that suggested he tried to secure former FIFA vice president Jack Warner's vote before the 2000 decision that awarded the tournament to Germany. Now, BILD is reporting Warner had a bank account in Trinidad and Tobago called "LOC Germany 2006 Limited." LOC apparently stood for "local organizing committee."

Lamine Diack resigned from an honorary position with the International Olympic Committee. Diak was the president of the International Association of Athletics Federations and is heavily implicated in the institutionalized doping scandal rocking the athletics world.

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola seems to be making the best of the uncertainty surrounding Jose Mourinho's continued employment at Chelsea. Bayern are working hard to lock Guardiola down to a new contract, and it will be a doozy. The latest offer is rumored to be around 24 million euros a year.

Jamie Vardy is one of the Premier League's best stories so far. The striker is on fire, and by many metrics (none of which include Chicharito) he's the best striker in Europe so far this season. The best part is that he's a late bloomer. He only made his England debut this year, at the age of 28. Now, he's apparently rescheduled his wedding so he can play for England at the European Championships this summer.

A professional rugby league will launch in the United States next April. This is great news. Rugby is awesome.

In Germany, Cologne is the center of the Carnival universe (much like New Orleans is in the United States). During Carnival season, the city hosts an epic costume party. Here's Koln striker Anthony Modeste training in a Carnival costume.
