Skrillex Might Be Forming a Supergroup of Bands You Loved Aged 15

I mean, if he can make emo great again he can bring Incubus and Deftones back under the spotlight.

Skrillex, as we know and have written about at length, is helping to make emo great again in 2017. But it's quite possible that he's not stopping there; indeed, it is quite possible that he's here to restore rock music as an entity to its former glory (despite now being an EDM producer).

Fresh off a reunion with From First to Last, Skrillex has now revealed via Snapchat that he's in the studio with Chino Moreno of Deftones. See Chino's erm, raw vocal below:

But! There's more! Prior to this, Incubus guitarist Mike Einzinger also shared studio photos of himself and Brandon Boyd in the studio with Skrillex and Chino, implying that they're all working together.

What is happening here? A conspiracy to make guitar music RAWK again? An alternative supergroup made up of all the bands you were obsessed with when you were but an impressionable teen? Is Skrillex just tempting more rock musicians over to the EDM side (this actually feels upsettingly possible due to the beat on the track that Chino is yelling singing)?

Your guess, for now, is as good as ours, but here's hoping that DJ Brandon Boyd is not something that will be happening in the near future. Follow Lauren on Twitter. (Image via Mike Einzinger on Twitter)
