In August 2006, Randy Starks was arrested in Nashville, TN, and charged with domestic assault stemming from an incident with his then-fiancée at the home they shared. According to a police report obtained by ESPN, the woman alleged that Starks tried to remove her engagement ring from her hand during an argument, which she said caused nine of her fingernails to break and bleed. She also alleged that Starks banged her head against a wall.

In December 2006, Starks reached an agreement with the assistant district attorney of conditional dismissal of the charge if he continued NFL-sponsored anger-management counseling.

Neither Starks nor the alleged victim returned Broadly's request for comment.

Update: The victim did not press charges against Starks. The police pressed charges.
