Unlimited Sydney Brings Together Running, Training, and Football for a Night of Intensity

A Waterloo warehouse space was turned into a sports Mecca as Nike+Run Club Run, Nike+Training Club, and four-a-side football tournaments went down at once.

Throughout August, Sydney's youngest and fastest athletes got together weekly for Unlimited Sydney—a series of high-adrenaline performance-based events. First there was an urban run course through the city's backstreets; next there was a competitive training session where teams battled it out for victory. On Saturday, it all culminated in an epic celebration moment that brought together running, training, and football for a night of energy and exertion all under one roof.

Upstairs, three large teams participated in the Nike+ Training Club. Fittingly, everyone was wearing war paint to put them in the zone for the intense hour-long workout.

Down below, runners were trialling the latest in Nike footwear innovation and getting warmed up to smash through their best times on a new running route prepared especially for the event. Like something out of The Fast and the Furious, cars revved their engines in place of a starting gun. Runners took off into the night to make their own way through the industrial streets and gain their best times on the course.

Back inside, competition was fierce. The warehouse was transformed into a neon lit football pitch. Off court, players huddled with their teammates and prepped game plans. On pitch, dust flew into the air and teams went all-in from the first blow of the whistle.

Each match was five minutes long and if one team scored, the other team lost a player. After 40 very intense matches, the final went down and it ended in a penalty shoot out which was as nail-biting as the game itself. One miss and you're out. The team who came out on top won with grins and medals to boot.
