Tarquin's Guest Mix Sounds Like Moonwalking Underwater

The Gobstopper-signed act's turned in a gloriously atmospheric set ahead of the release of his new single, "Grease."

Cast your mind back to early last year and what's the most vivid memory you can conjure up? For me it is the time I tried to email UK club music mainstay Tarquin to bolster a track premiere and was met with a deafening silence . Still, life goes on, and Tarquin has been gracious enough to slave away over the Pioneers and serve us up a truly delectable mix.

The producer's upcoming single on Mr. Mitch's peerless Gobstopper label, "Grease," is an absolute doozy, and if you don't slide over a digital pound to grab it on release on the 5th of May then we'll come round your house and very politely stand over your shoulder until you rectify the matter. Got it? Great, thanks. Thanks for being understanding.

If you can't quite do that, why not save the pennies and head down to the Miranda Bar at London's Ace Hotel where Mitch and Tarquin will be joined by Loom and CouCou Chloe at the Gobstopper party? It's free before 11!

The mix itself is a murky affair, all sub-aquatic whoosh and bubbly atmospherics—in the most positive way possible, it sounds like what we imagine they play in those terrifyingly deep swimming pools that astronauts train in. Check it out for yourself below.

"Grease"  is released on May 5th on Gobstopper. You can pre-order it here .
