The FIFA elections are tomorrow, and FIFA passed around a memo to all of the candidates with some handy advice for dealing with the various question the press are certain to ask. More from the WSJ.

The Independent has a nice little explainer on all things FIFA election.

A convicted bank robber tried to blackmail Bayern Munich. It didn't work.

Remember that Afghan boy whose image went viral last month because he was wearing a blue-and-white striped shopping bag with the word "Messi" scrawled on the back? Messi's people found the kid and gave him a real shirt.

Eva Carneiro and Jose Mourinho will have their day in court. From the Independent: "The parties involved will attend a private hearing in front of a High Court judge on March 7 where the former Chelsea medic's lawyers are expected to outline their demands for a settlement."

El-Hadji Diouf gave a pretty insane interview yesterday. He called Jamie Carragher, his former Liverpool teammate, "shit" and "a loser." Then there's this, on Steven Gerrard: "When I arrived at Liverpool, seeing as I just did what I wanted, he thought that I did not respect the club. But he downright killed his team by slipping against Chelsea. If Liverpool has never won the Premier League, it's no accident. What goes around, comes around."

Speaking of Steven Gerrard, MLS is back, and so is the LA Galaxy. Will this be Gerrard's breakout year?
