Chris Christie Says Trump Pressured Him into Eating Meatloaf

Former errand boy Chris Christie may have slunk away to lick his wounds back in his New Jersey lair after being booted from Trump's transition team, but apparently the governor isn't out from under the president's thumb yet.

The New Jersey governor visited the White House on Valentine's Day to catch up with the president and reportedly discuss his work with the opioid crisis over lunch. But according to Christie, he didn't really get a say in what he ate. Like a classic overbearing Valentine's date, Trump ordered for both of them—and that meant two plates of meatloaf.

"This is what it's like to be with Trump," Christie said during an interview on the New York sports radio show Boomer and Carton. "He says, 'There's the menu, you guys order whatever you want.' And then he says, 'Chris, you and I are going to have the meatloaf.'"

The radio hosts tried to get Christie to admit that it's pretty emasculating to have another guy forcibly order your meal for you, but the governor stuck by Trump. "The guy eats there all the time," Christie said, "and the meatloaf was good."

"Another man tells you what you eat, and you eat it? Not acceptable. I don't care who he is," Carton replied. Emasculating meatloaf meal or not, at least Christie isn't going on McDonald's runs for Trump anymore, so that's something.
