The Cute Show!

Homespun Merry-Go-Round!

Come ride on a merry-go-round with soul (and animatronic monkeys)!

This episode is kinda like a cross between The Cute Show and Art Talk. It’s about a nice man named Al Gori who, about 20 years ago, made a merry-go-round from scratch as an art school project. He used car parts, old motors, stuffed animals, gadgets, gizmos, and various knick-knackery, and over years of tinkering, created the most charming and unique little jungle-themed solar-powered merry-go-round that ever was. It is, in fact, a merry-go-round with soul. Ever since then, Al has cheerily been donning his safari hat and carting around his masterpiece to all kinds of children’s events, and even some adult events—like the annual WFMU record fair, which is where I first laid eyes upon its bubble-making, animatronic glory. For this episode, I went to an end-of-the-summer fair in Riverside Park, where the Homespun Merry-Go-round shone like an adorable old-fashioned diamond in a sea of scary clowns, screaming toddlers, and generic rides. Please enjoy! xo amy P.S. Why not hire the Homespun Merry-Go-Round for your event! Go to http://www.homespunmerrygoround.com/ for all your cute merry-go-round needs.
