As children the future is always an undetermined date looming on the horizon. None of us can know for sure what it's going to look like, but the general adage goes that it would involve flying cars, teleportation devices and the ability to travel between Los Angeles and San Francisco in 35 minutes on Elon Musk's Hyperloop. The truth is that we're not quite there yet. But it's also okay because, as technology trends will have it, virtual reality is here and cementing its place in the present.

Today's episode of What Is Happening in Virtual Reality Aside From Porn involves Ratking member Wiki who has performed tracks from his album Lil Me in some kind of 360-degree platform involving Boiler Room and Samsung. It's some cool-ass shit, offering up an immersive experience of the environment that contributes to Wiki's music—from the neighborhood where he grew up to the crib downtown where he now lives—in a way that can't be done with just a pair of headphones. Click below, hold down the mouse, and drag yourself through New York.
