Jim Harbaugh Cashes in On Discounted Steak Promo After Michigan Demolished Rutgers

Moos got it better than us? Nobody! (Definitely not the steakhouse. Or the cow.)

Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh enjoyed the spoils of victory on Monday…medium rare, washed down with a glass of cold milk.

Harbaugh's Wolverines cost the Ann Arbor Ruth's Chris Steak House a great deal of money after the restaurant foolishly promoted a one-percent discount for each point difference in last Saturday's game against Rutgers (They used "Michigan beats Rutgers by 20 points, your discount would be 20% off your food," as an example, which, LOLZ to the idea of them beating Rutgers by only 20).

The Ruth's Chris promotion backfired when Harbaugh's boys slaughtered the Scarlet Knights by a score of 78-0, the largest margin of victory among two FBS teams this century. They managed to cap the discount at 50 percent (dang lawyers!), but that's still a hefty chunk of change.

At the very least, the steak house got some quality publicity out of the deal, as the coach brought his wife in for a heavily discounted meal. It's hard to picture Harbaugh eating at a Ruth's Chris under normal circumstances—he seems more like a LongHorn Steakhouse guy who maybe hits up Outback when he's feeling like something exotic—but this was simply too good a deal to pass up.

You can see by the photo that the coach also had a tall glass of milk, because what else is Jim Harbaugh gonna drink? Do yourself a favor, Jim: Next time you want to combine the two, make sure to order yourself a milk steak, boiled over hard with a side of jelly beans, raw.
