Good morning, America. It's February 2nd, 2016. Welcome to the VICE Sports World News Roundup. Be sure to stop every morning for more headlines from around the world.

Welp, European soccer's winter transfer window has come to its typical, frenzied end. In England, the biggest transfer belongs to Stoke City, who bought French defensive midfielder Giannelli Imbula from Porto for a cool £18.3 million. Of course, the usual questions apply: How will he fare on a cold night in Stoke? Everton also spent big on Senegalese striker Oumar Niasse, whom the Toffees bought from Lokomotiv Moscow for £13.5 million.

Speaking of Everton, former Evertonian John Heitinga has retired.

Over in Germany, where the transfer fees were not nearly as large, a certain little pea won the player of the month award. (I wrote about Chicharito's off-field value to his club Bayer Leverkusen last week, in case you missed it.)

Pep Guardiola, to the surprise of nobody, officially announced he'll coach Manchester City next year. He'll receive a war chest of around £150 million, according to the Guardian.

Manuel Pellegrini, who has a good record, is obviously through at City. Valencia are reportedly in talks with the Chilean coach. Gary Neville, current Valencia coach, has not yet won a game.

The other day, Belgian cyclist Femke Van den Driessche was discovered to have a motor in her bike. (Video below, H/T Deadspin). Today, two-time Tour de France winner Chris Froome claimed he warned officials of such a thing before.

This is from last week, but I think this picture of Predators goalkeeper Pekka Rinne about to get scored on is cool, so here you go.
