From the doughnut capital of the world—Los Angeles, of course—we bring you a doughnut with a novel pedigree: It's from a punk-rock, organic, vegan shop with a Cambodian-American baker.

These matcha-glazed doughnuts are one of the specialties of Doughnut Farm in Silver Lake, a joint opened this year by Josh Levine, the punk rock veteran from the band Flipper. At Doughnut Farm, Levine serves extra-crispy, deliciously cakey doughnuts in the LA-Cambodian style, thanks in large part to doughnut baker extraordinaire Mercredi Uy, whose family and friends—like those of so many other Cambodian Los Angelinos—have been in the doughnut biz for years.

RECIPE: Matcha-Glazed Doughnuts

Doughnut Farm's matcha-glazed doughnuts regularly sell out, and no wonder; they combine a killer matcha glaze and crispy doughnut in every single bite. But you don't have to travel to Silver Lake to taste these wonders—now you can make them at home.

These beauties will satisfy your cravings all day long, from early morning breakfast noshing through afternoon teatime to your midnight kitchen raid. Just don't blame us if you eat them right before bed and have crazy dreams.
