Mike Pence Leaves NFL Game Over Protests During National Anthem

A dozen pro football players exercised their right to free speech. And so did the Vice President.

Mike Pence, the Vice President and former Indiana Governor, flew home to watch the hapless Colts retire Peyton Manning's number on Sunday. He stuck around for the ceremony, but not the game. After about a dozen 49ers players kneeled during the Star Spangled Banner, Pence got up and left.

Here's what he had to say about it:

Last month, Donald Trump said that NFL owners should fire any "son of a bitch" player who kneels during the anthem.

Meanwhile, Colin Kaepernick's representatives reportedly called the Tennessee Titans after their quarterback Marcus Mariota was injured last week. According to CBS, the Titans didn't even give him the chance to work out.
