Trump's Russia Lawyer Sends Email to Random Man: 'F*ck You'

"I'm Jewish. I presume you are too. Stop being afraid. Call me."

Marc Kasowitz is a lawyer Donald Trump hired to handle the Russia case—a job that one might presume would require a security clearance, given that it requires dealing with an untold but probably very large amount of classified information. But he has no plans to get a clearance, according to a ProPublica story alleging that he had a history of alcohol abuse and drinking on the job, which would make the clearance application process difficult.

Kasowitz strenuously denied that story. "He has not come into the office intoxicated, attorneys have not had to go across the street to the restaurant during the workday to consult Kasowitz on work matters, as he held court, drinking and eating," a statement from a spokesman read.

But whether or not Kasowitz has a drinking problem, he definitely has an email problem. After the story circulated, a man who had no relationship to Kasowitz emailed the lawyer to tell him to resign. The attorney fired back a reply within seconds: "F*ck you."

"Call me," he wrote in a follow-up email. "Don't be afraid, you piece of shit. Stand up. If you don't call, you're just afraid. I already know where you live, I'm on you. You might as well call me. You will see me. I promise. Bro."

And then in another missive: "I'm Jewish. I presume you are too. Stop being afraid. Call me."

Honestly, it's worth reading the whole set of messages, which ProPublica verified by checking the email servers and IP addresses that sent them.

In a statement sent to Atlantic reporter Rosie Gray, Kasowitz's spokesman said the lawyer intends to apologize for his "inappropriate" reply to the initial email, which "came at the end of a long day."
