More than 300,000 people flooded the streets of Manhattan on Sunday — the biggest climate march in world history.

The rally — three times as large as organizers had predicted — stretched out for several miles along the city's Central Park and into midtown, while demonstrations in solidarity with the New York one took place all over the world — from Brazil to Australia.

In New York, the atmosphere was festive but the demands firm as protesters from hundreds of groups and from all across the country demanded radical changes to save the planet.
