In January Luis Carone and Daniel Dias of Jonathon Post in Brazil released a clever troll video showcasing a fake device that supposedly allows you to watch 3D media without the need for glasses. It appeared as if it could make your eye lids to flutter rapidly as if they were shutter glasses.

Many of the YouTube comments were angry declarations of the video being fake, so the guys at Jonathon Post have released a video showing how they did it to prove it was just a joke.

They used a 4k camera, created a 3D face to overlay into the video, and then looped his eyes blinking to make it appear as if they were fluttering at hyper speed. With production quality this high, it's understandable that some may think it was real at first, but why such an angry reaction from those who could tell it was a fake?

With special effects becoming ever more sophisticated, tricking our brains into seeing things that aren't real, or even physically possible, has become commonplace. Perhaps after awhile people start to get sick of being tricked, and become defensive when they think they are being fooled with technology.

Regardless, these guys sure knew how to troll the Internet.
