Some would argue that steak is the best of the meats.

Within that subgroup, many would argue that the rib-eye is the best of steaks. And within that even smaller subgroup are those who think that the best way to prepare it is the French way: in a super hot pan, with garlic, thyme, and a shit-ton of butter.

Among those believers in old-school rib-eye cooking is Dead Set on Life (one of the very best shows on VICELAND; check your local listings) host Matty Matheson who showed us how to make a truly perfect pan-seared rib-eye steak. Regardless of your steak preferences, Matty promises that you will either be fucking or napping at the end of it.
