Twitter Time Capsule: Revisit Artists' First Tweets

The first 140 characters from James Franco, Takashi Murakami, David Lynch, and more.

This morning, Twitter created a new tool that unearths the first tweet from the dregs of any account. First Tweet, created in celebration of the platform's eighth birthday, is an amazing source of entertainment, mild embarrassment, and ultimately plain fun that can shed some light on how we've taken advantage of 140 characters since the birth of our Twitters.

While digging around for some golden first posts from creatives working in the art and tech world, we noticed that artist JK Keller had already started doing our work for us, re-tweeting the Twitter births from the likes of Cory Arcangel, Ryder Ripps of OKFocus, and more. Big nod to Mr. Keller, but we wanted to add a few more to his list. Check out some OG tweets below:
