Lil Yachty was, for better or worse, one of 2016's biggest success stories, and "Minnesota" is his opus so far, encapsulating his self-described 'bubblegum trap' genre.

And now, Minnesota native Allan Kingdom has offered his take on the track. Jumping on the beat to give a version that goes harder than Yachty's gentler original, he makes sure that he reps his home state, shouting out its beloved fallen son Prince ("Purple rain on me").

Upon announcing the remix on New Year's Eve, Kingdom also suggested that he'll be releasing a the follow up to his 2016 album Northern Lights soon.
