Everton Get Two Goals On Two Deflections

Everton lead QPR 3-0 on two deflections and other goalkeeping misfortune.

Everton scored two quick goals against Queens Park Rangers thanks to two deflected balls. The first, above, isn't too egregious, but Ross Barkley hit a missile that glanced off the defender's back, changing the flight of the ball just enough that keeper Rob Green could not adjust in time.

The second goal was much worse; it's basically a QPR own-goal header. After some discussion, Kevin Mirallas took a free kick earned by Steven Naismith and hit it right into Eduardo Vargas's dome. Vargas tried to head the ball out of danger and wound up putting into the goal instead.

Everton then went ahead 3-0 following dreadful clearance attempt by Green, who probably can't wait for full time at this point.
