She has been influenced by her time spent in the editorial world, blending fashion photography with sensitive portraiture. Channeling this combination, Jarvis created the portrait series and installation, "This Charming Guest," for The Standard Hotel Group. She was also commissioned by Adidas during the London Olympics to design her own pair of sneakers, inspired by her time as a competitive swimmer. Shaniqwa contributes to publications including The Fader, i-D, The New York Times Magazine, and VICE. Her commercial clients include Liberty of London, LVMH, Nike, Supreme, Timberland, Tory Burch, and Woolite.
