Pro-gamer Phillip "Phizzurp" Klemenov's funeral was live-streamed on Twitch to a slew of fans who wanted to remember him fondly and watch his mother cry in real time. The Call of Duty player was killed in a car accident with his friend Marcelous Johnson in Colorado at the beginning of October.There was a huge crowdfunding effort for the funeral, reaching around £15,000. Before his passing, Klemenov had been part of e-Sports team giant H2k.

Some may think it strange that a gamer's funeral was live-streamed on Twitch, a place where people usually go to spam Pepe the Frog emoticons and call each other 'fags', but by all accounts the chat on the stream was civil, with gamers and viewers alike sending their condolences.It's also interesting that Klemenov's family recognised a life lived online and made that part of his farewell, something I imagine a lot of parents would most likely shy away from or try and forget. Maybe I'll live-stream my own funeral, which could be as soon as next week, at the rate I'm drinking these cases of Casillero del Diablo that I got on the cheap.
