Earlier in the week, Spanish prosecutors accused Cristiano Ronaldo of defrauding tax authorities by some £14.7 million. Ronaldo flatly denied the charges, but according to multiple reports, he remains extremely pissed. He is so angry, in fact, that he wants to leave the country and his current club, Real Madrid. The Portuguese paper A Bola claims "the decision is irreversible and he has already told the Real Madrid president."

Some are speculating that he's upset with the way he's been treated by the club—that they did not defend him as loudly as, say, Barcelona defended Messi during his tax fraud trial—and others point to his dissatisfaction with Madrid fans. In the run up to the Champions League final, Ronaldo spoke about his frustration with getting booed and whistled by the home crowd. He also made the point of contrasting it with his time at Manchester United.

"Maybe England is a case apart, the mentality is different. I'm very happy being in Spain but obviously I also miss England because you can't just turn off the memories."

Which brings us to the next part of this: if he does force his way out of Madrid, where will he land? China is reportedly in the picture, but more realistically it seems that Paris Saint-Germain, or a return to the Premier League and possibly to his old United club are the two options.

Ronaldo signed a five-year deal with Madrid last November and is under contract through 2021.
