TransCanada Sues Government
Energy firm TransCanada has filed a lawsuit against the Obama administration over the Keystone XL oil pipeline. The company, which is seeking $15 billion in damages, alleges that President Obama exceeded his constitutional powers in denying the pipeline.— The New York Times

LA Methane Leak Declared State of Emergency
California governor Jerry Brown has declared a state of emergency in Los Angeles over the methane gas spewing from an underground storage field. More than 2,000 families have now moved from their homes in the Porter Ranch suburb.— Los Angeles Times

Iran has accused a Saudi-led coalition of "deliberately" bombing its embassy in Yemen. Iranian state media quoted a foreign ministry spokesman saying members of embassy staff had been wounded in an air strike in Sanaa, the Yemeni capital. —Al Jazeera

Shooting at Paris Police Station
French police are investigating an attack at a police station in Paris as potential "terrorism" after a man armed with a knife was shot to death by officers. One police union official said the attacker cried out "Allahu Akbar" or "God is great" in Arabic. —AP

Nations Unite Against North Korea
