Obituary Still Can't Escape Those Damn Zombies in "Ten Thousand Ways to Die" Video

The death metal OGs take on the animated living dead to celebrate their new self-titled album.

Obituary's first album, the epoch-defining Slowly We Rot, featured a decayed corpse on its cover. Nearly 30 years later, the Florida death metal legends are facing what may be that cadaver and its friends as zombies (again) in the video for "Ten Thousand Ways to Die," a grinding track off the band's just-released self-titled album.

The animated clip (a sequel to director Balázs Gróf's similarly cartoon-y video for "Violence") doubles as both horror hijinks and an argument for resorting to the power of rock when faced with hordes of undead. Also, the value of having a plug who can get you into shows. You can watch the "Ten Thousand Ways to Die" video below as well as our Noisey Shreds episode featuring Obituary.
