Lady Gaga Fronted Metallica at The Grammys

Because James Hetfield's microphone was all busted up.

The much-discussed and prematurely mocked collaboration between Lady Gaga and Metallica turned out to be, at the very least, spectacular at the Grammys tonight. They played "Moth Into Flame" from Metallica's 2016 album Hardwired... To Self Destruct and Gaga threw herself into her frontwoman duties. James Hetfield's microphone was clearly faulty, leaving him to share with Mother Monster in a slightly awkward arrangement. He kicked his mic stand over at the end because punk lives.
