Nothing kick-starts a bout of nostalgia quite like memories of summer. As kids, we spent so much of our lives in school just waiting for that three-month break, where days would stretch and melt into each other like the chewy sweets growing sticky in our hands. Sure, the Christmas holidays brought with them the promise of stuffing your face and hopefully getting a few presents from your nan, but couldn't compare to the allure of a few balmy weeks (depending on where you grew up, of course). Enter Danish four-piece Communions, who've have put out a video for single "It's Like Air" that sounds determined to soundtrack some part of this summer, if you're partial to 90s-referencing guitar pop.

It's got one of those lilting and soaring choruses designed for throwing your head back and shouting along to—and would slot in nicely with just about any VHS road trip film montage. There's a bit more to the video than that, though. It sees the band—vocalist/guitarist Martin Rehof, his younger brother bassist Mads Rehof, guitarist Jacob van Deurs Formann and drummer Frederik Lind Köppen—skipping between scenes of celebration, transformation and whatever fancy word you'd use to describe some time kicking a football about. In the words of director Casper Balslev, the video "sees Communions moving through a latter part of life. A wild, freeform, trip of banalities. A film that was all about the band, them as characters, their relation to each other and the world around them. The vision was to create a film that was real, visceral and romantic."

Well, there you have it. Depending on where you are, glance outside to either bask in the heat or imagine it tingling on your skin soon. At least it's always summer somewhere.
