Grenier & Petey Clicks Are Smoking Weed In Snow White's House

The Ryan Gosling of dubstep and the Dimebag Darrell of trap have a cute chat inside a DIsney cottage.

Grenier (also known as DJG) and Petey Clicks (of Clicks & Whistles) are two of the hottest producers to look out for in the underground. Both have made carefully-considered dancefloor bombs for labels including Tectonic, Get Darker, Brownswood, Embassy, Frite Nite, and Trouble & Bass. It's fair to say they have far transcended tags like post-dubstep, future bass, or proto-garage (we just felt like barfing while typing those). Plus, the two are working together on a top secret grime-house project that we cannot name. (No, it's not called Voldemort.)

For this interview we headed to Dean Grenier's house—one of LA's historic Snow White Cottages (built in the 1930s for Disney animators)—to roll up some grass and chat a little shit. The duo explains how they met, how Dean nursed Petey back to health with a fat sack of Vicodin, and why Petey is like Dimebag Darrell.

The music featured in the video is Petey Clicks' "U N Me," out now on AC Slater's Party Like Us Records. Buy it here.
