Belfast Boy Jordan's "Strung Out" Gets a Wonky Rework From Adesse Versions

The release marks the first on the producer's new label, Nocturne.

Every time we write something with Belfast involved we make the same two points. Firstly, that Belfast has got the odds stacked against it when it comes to nightlife and club culture thanks to a lack of arts support and draconian licensing laws, but that secondly, and importantly, that doesn't stop it from being a more-than exciting hotbed of electronic music. Rising producer Jordan is further testament to this, his work once again proving that Belfast is a city refusing not to be heard.

One of the best nights keeping this voice alive has been Jordan's very own Nocturne, an after-party that has turned into a weekly Saturday night affair, and is now becoming a label as well. To christen his new venture the man himself is releasing an EP of his own, Killing Mockingbirds. He's very generously given us an exclusive preview of this first release, in the shape of techno don Adesse Versions deft and delicious rework of second track "Strung Out." Get stuck in and tripping out below, and get even more excited for Belfast's AVA Festival which is just around the corner.

If Nocturne the night has become a testing ground for local talent, and judging by Jordan's first EP on the imprint, Nocturne the label looks set to be exactly the same.
