Halcyon Veil Gears Up for Release of New Why Be EP with Destructive Music Video

Rabit's label drops visuals for "Whalin (Kyselina OST)," and they're as sharply captivating as they are disturbingly violent.

Houston producer Rabit's new label Halcyon Veil is making an impressive case for itself. So far the outfit has worked closely with NON collective artists to release Angel-Ho's stunning Ascension EP and the equally stunning mixtape from Rabit and sound artist Chino Amobi, entitled THE GREAT GAME : FREEDOM FROM MENTAL POISONING(The Purification of The Furies).

Up next is an EP called Snipestreet from Copenhagen producer Why Be (release date TBD), who has previously appeared on mixes by Janus member M.E.S.H. and Fade to Mind's Total Freedom. In advance of that, you can now watch the video for "Whalin (Kyselina OST)" off the EP, above. The track itself sounds like something you'd find on an American noise CD-R from the mid 2000s, but includes an excitingly unfamiliar context with ECCO2K's visuals, which are here made up of vividly colorful footage taken from professional motorcycle racing.

When things start to feel too much like an expensive commercial, the violent crashes set in, showing the dark side to this kind of corporate glamor. Check it out above.
