EDM duo Krewella were forced to cancel their upcoming performance at India's Sunburn Festival due to denied visas. According to the group, the two were "repeatedly denied" a visa due to their ethnicity.

"It is with heavy hearts that we inform you that due to our Pakistani heritage, our VISAs have been repeatedly denied and we will not be able to enter your country for Sunburn Festival," they wrote in a Facebook post. "Our team tried every avenue possible but now have reached the end."

The duo also claimed they are working to make it up to their fans as soon as possible, adding, "We hope the state of affairs between the 2 countries can be resolved someday soon."

Sunburn Festival will celebrate its tenth year in the city of Pune from December 28-31. Other scheduled performers include Afrojack and Armin van Buuren. In July, Krewella spoke to us about their breakup with Kris Trindl.
