When you're Jamie Jones, bothering to release music anywhere other than on your own insanely popular Hot Creations label might seem like a waste of time. So you know that if the Paradise mastermind is gonna play an away game, it's gotta be for something special—something like the first new music to be released on house legend Kerri Chandler's recently minted Kaoz Theory label, maybe.

Jones will do just that on March 14, when he drops The Illicit Behaviour EP, which features two new tracks by Jones, the title tune and "New Skool Acid," the latter of which also gets the remix treatment from Moon Harbour boss Matthias Tanzmann, FUSE London regular Seb Zito, and Color LND head Stephane Ghenacia.

Ghenacia is a frequent cohort of Chandler's who delivers a smooth and steady version that skips along on a shimmering ride cymbal as synth pads slowly stretch and release over fluid percussion patterns. It's a surprisingly silky take on Jones' usually sleek tech house sound, one that show's the benefits of joining forces with a guru like Chandler, if at least for one release. Listen here in advance of the March 14 release.
