Gaze Upon This Desert Landscape and Be Revived

And realize that everything is actually amazing.

The above image comes courtesy of Korea’s Kompsat-2 satellite via the European Space Agency. It's of Africa's Namib Desert. e.g. the oldest desert in the world. The desert stretches over 2,000 km from Angola to South Africa, and sand dunes within it can reach 300 meters tall, or just shy of the Empire State Building. The greenish area is the dry riverbed of the Tsaucha, and, in the lower-middle, is the famed Dune 45 (below), in Namibia.

The satellite image is part of the ESO's Earth-from-Space video program, which is probably worth bookmarking.
