Good morning, America. Throughout the Olympics, we'll be providing you with morning previews about the action in Rio, with a focus on athletes from the U.S., Mexico and Canada. Here's what to watch for today, August 19th, 2016. The following events will all see medals awarded today.

In track and field we have hella medals, including two of my favorites, the men's (50 km) race walk and women's (20 km) race walk. Check out our feature on the difficulty of judging race walking. Let's go! After that, we'll go to women's pole vault final, the men's hammer throw, the women's 5,000 meter final, and the men's and women's 4X100 meter finals. Men's race walk is already…running. Mexico's Horacio Nava, Omar Zepeda, José Leyver Ojeda; canada's Mathieu Bilodeau and Evan Dunfee; and the U.S.'s John Nunn are all taking part. The women's race walk, scheduled for 1:30 PM ET, features Mexico's Maria Guadalupe Gonzalez, Alejandra Ortega, and Maria Guadalupe Sanchez; and the U.S.'s Maria Michta-Coffey and Miranda Melville. The Women's pole vault final includes the U.S.'s Sandi Morris and Jennifer Suhr and Canada's Kelsie Ahbe. The U.S.'s Shelby Houlihan and Abbey D'Agostino will compete in the 5000 meters, scheduled for 7:10 PM ET. Both the women's and men's 4X100 events feature teams from the U.S. and Canada. Finally, Mexico's Diego del Real is the lone North American in the men's hammer throw final. You can watch him in action starting at 2:05 am local time.

Badminton wraps today with the women's singles and men's doubles gold medal matches. Action started at 7:30 AM ET.

Boxing also features hella medals today! Men's fly, men's light welter, men's super heavy, women's middle, and women's light will all issue medals. The lone North American competing is the U.S.'s women's middleweight Claresa Shields, who will fight in a semi final at 1 PM ET.

Over on the BMX track we'll see the men's and women's finals. Action for the final rounds begins at 12:30 ET, after a day full of qualifying. The men's field for the semifinals features the U.S.'s Nick Long (pictured), Connor Fields, and Corben Sharrah along with Canada's Tory Nyhaug. The U.S.'s Alise Post and Brooke Crain will hope to qualify for the women's final.

We have the finals of individual jumping in the equestrian arena, which begins at 9 AM ET. Canada's Yann Candele, Tiffany Foster, and Eric Lamaze will compete against 32 other athletes (not counting the horses), including the U.S.'s Kent Farrington, McLain Ward, and Lucy Davis. Fun fact: Germany's Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum was born and raised in the U.S.

The women's soccer medal rounds take place tonight. Canada's women face the home team in their bronze medal match.

Women's field hockey medal rounds also take place this evening, with Great Britain and the Netherlands competing for gold.

We'll have the Games' first modern pentathlon medals in the women's combined running/shooting. I have to level with you: I'm not really sure how this one works, but it begins at 11 AM ET. Earlier in the day, the women will be in the pool, including the U.S.'s Isabella Isaksen and Margaux Isaksen; Canada's Melanie McCann and Donna Vakalis; and Mexico's Tamara Vega. The Isaksens are sisters, by the way.

Today's taekwondo tournaments are the men's 80 kg and women's 67 kg. The U.S.'s Steven Lopez (pictured above in blue) is already through his first round, while Paige McPherson fights later this morning.

The U.S. women will take on Italy in the women's water polo gold medal match which begins at 2:30 PM ET.

Lastly, the wrestling tournaments today are men's 57 kg and men's 74 kg. The U.S.'s Daniel Dennis is in the 57 kg class and Jordan Burroughs is already in the quarterfinals of the 74 kg class.
