Luis Suarez Smashes Goal that Finishes Arsenal

Luis Suarez smoked home a goal that ended Arsenal's Champions League run.

Barcelona came into this second leg against Arsenal with a 2-0 lead on aggregate and really only needed to hold serve to advance in the Champions League. Neymar gave them a 3-0 lead on aggregate in the 18th minute, however, and it looked like Arsenal were finished. The Gunners came back with a goal of their own in the second half, a sweet finish from Mohamed Elneny, and it seemed like maybe they had something left in the tank. Then Luis Suarez pulled this off.

Neymar got the ball in the center of the penalty arc and touched it over to Dani Alves in space. Alves then reversed course and sent a curling cross back over to Suarez, who was all alone—this is what happens when Messi and Neymar are also lurking around on the same turf—and he cocked back and hit a scissoring finish that all but ended Arsenal's day.

Just to give Arsenal a little bit of action, here is their aforementioned goal. It's quite lovely, but so is Olivier Giroud, and where's that gotten the Gunners?

And then Messi scored in the 88th minute with a little chip shot over Ospina to put it well and truly out of reach.[FS1]
