London Greek chef Yannis Theodorakakis' spiced lamb souvlaki wrap will transport you to the Mediterranean sunshine.

If you're yearning for a holiday in the Greek sunshine but there just aren't enough pennies down the back of your sofa, your mum's sofa, or the sofa of the guy whose house party you ended up at last weekend, it's time to get inventive and bring Greece to you.

Elias Mamalakis of (you guessed it) Greek restaurant Suvlaki in London's Soho claims that his traditional lamb souvlaki recipe has transportive powers: "The smell of souvlaki grilling over hot coals takes us back to being at home, cooking for friends and family in Greece. They're the perfect summer barbecue food."

RECIPE: Lamb Souvlaki Wrap

These are the stuff-with-whatever-you-want variety of wrap but stick with the magic combo of onion, Florina pepper, paprika, and salt to achieve that sun-soaked Mediterranean flavour. Drizzle with a herby yogurt sauce made from mint, parsley, dill, and olive oil.
