Madeon Is Delivering His Album Teaser in a Flash Video Game

Walk confidently into adversity with "Imperium".

Madeon has now reached the point where his age can and should – finally – be left out of all conversations about him. It really wouldn't matter if he was 7 or 77 because if his latest release, "Imperium", tells us anything, it's that he's in a league of his own. "Imperium" sounds like Justice wrote a track, went to a waterpark for a few hours, and then started it all over again. It sounds like Brodinski took the French Symphony Orchestra skydiving. It sounds… well, it sounds really fucking good, to be quite frank. Enthusiastic and engaging, Madeon describes the song as capturing the feeling of "confidently walking into adversity", whatever that means. He admits that while "Imperium" doesn't reflect the overall sound of his upcoming album, it does represent a key transition point between two phases of his life. The yet-to-be-named album, being released by Columbia Records, will be out "early next year."
