Coachella Confirms Website Hack, Theft of Personal Information

"Unauthorized third parties illegally gained access" to a wealth of details, AEG confirms.

Coachella organizer AEG has confirmed that the personal information of a number of their account holders has been accessed illegally by a "third party." It confirms a story first reported last week by Motherboard.

Here, via Pitchfork, is AEG's statement.

We recently discovered that unauthorized third parties illegally gained access to the usernames, first and last names, shipping addresses, email addresses, phone numbers and dates of birth individuals provided to Coachella. We have confirmed that no user passwords were stolen.

They go on to state that "no financial information was accessed" and that they've "taken measures to block further unauthorized access."
