The first thing on her to-do list? To make sure we all know that she is being forced to disobey God and that any license issued to gay couples will not have her signature and are "unauthorized," CBS News reports."If any [deputy clerk] feels that they must issue an unauthorized license to avoid being thrown in jail, I understand their tough choice, and I will take no action against them," Davis said, but clarified that "any unauthorized license that they issue will not have my name, my title, or my authority on it. Instead, the license will state that they are issued pursuant to a federal court order."Jail or no jail, Davis maintains that same-sex marriage "violates [her] deeply-held religious convictions and conscience," and signing the marriage licenses "would be an act of disobedience to [her] God."Davis's coworkers will probably have to deal with being under the spotlight for a while longer. For what it's worth, Harry Mihet, one of Davis's attorneys, told CBS that Davis feels pretty broken up about the whole thing."They are her colleagues and her friends," Mihet said in a video.
