Some Guy Crashed His Car into a Gaming Company, Saying It 'Ruined His Life'

Surprisingly, 'Pokémon Go' was not to blame this time.

People are always going to great lengths for the video games they love, whether its braving landmines to catch Pokémon, or shelling out a fortune for rare Magic: The Gathering cards. But when an avid gamer in South Korea had enough of his gaming obsession, he decided he needed to settle a score with developer Nexon for apparently "ruining his life," the Korea Herald reports.

On Sunday at around 7 AM, a Chinese man, last name of Lee, drove his car straight through the glass window of the PC and mobile-game company, best known for its MMO games like MapleStory and Dungeon Fighter Online. When the cops found him, Lee admitted the whole window-smashing thing was a dick move, and explained that he was just really angry that he had become addicted to Nexon's games.

It wasn't only his obsessive relationship with the company's games that led to the automotive assault, though; Lee said alcohol was also to blame, and sure enough, when authorities tested his blood alcohol level, he was well over the legal limit.

According to the police report, the car actually belonged to his older brother, too, as Lee was only in South Korea on a short visitor permit, so that should be a fun one to explain.

It's unclear which game was specifically causing Lee's distress, but it's a miracle no one was hurt. Nexon has one more thing going for them, it: At least no one was stabbed or shot because its games.
