Watch This Giant Fish Nearly Take a Guy’s Arm Off

Just watch this thing on a loop and forget about losing Prince for a bit.

The arm you see in the GIF above belongs to a guy named Luke. Luke is a friend of pro fisherman Scott Pierce Jr., who shot this video and uploaded it to Instagram.

The fish coming out of the water in dramatic slow motion is a tarpon, a type of fish that can grow as long as you are tall and weigh about as much. Fortunately for Luke, tarpons don't have teeth, but instead have bony plates behind their lips. They can't rip your arm off—they can only scratch it up a bit.

Tarpons are found in the Atlantic Ocean, the Gulf of Mexico and throughout the Caribbean, and have a long history of swallowing arms, sometimes accompanied by wild shrieks of a woman behind the camera.

Anyway, just watch this thing on a loop and forget about losing Prince for a bit.
