RYAN Playground and Robert Robert Are Montreal's Alluring Dream Team

Dozens of bright, young artists in Montreal are changing the way we think about and listen to electronic music. Two artists in particular, RYAN Playground and Robert Robert, have been fueling the city's innovation engine.

Their new collaboration "I'm Not Gonna Wait", illuminates both artists' signature quirks without being overpowering or kitschy. The focus on texture is apparent, as Playground's haunting vocals complement the dark intensity of the synths in an oddly refreshing way. There is a unique playfulness to the composition that avoids being overwhelming and is actually rather alluring.

We first introduced you to RYAN Playground back in September when we released her brilliant video for "The Void." Since then, she's been busy making waves both at home and abroad, practicing her craft and consequently winning hearts. Robert Robert has similarly had a packed schedule since releasing his first full LP Pastel late last year, playing dates from Nova Scotia to Igloofest.
