Hoover Dam Retrospective

The Hoover Dam's concrete was poured in the 1930s and is still curing inside the walls of the dam and will be for another 60 years before it is completely set. It is still an unrivaled feat of engineering and one of the most existentially confronting places in America. The Hoover Dam will churn long after we are gone, and will stand for centuries before it finally cracks under the build up of pressure from the Colorado River in a future where it is no longer maintained by humans.
