From the annals of Horrible Shit Done in the Name of Sports, the AP brings us this horrifying account of human rights abuses—rape, torture, murder—that went on in South Korean labor camps used to build infrastructure for the 1988 Olympic Games, among other things.

On a much lighter note, I encourage you all to watch the amazing finish of this 400-meter relay, which includes an amazing call by some Irish dudes. VICE Sports' own Sean Newell gathered some additional info. (H/T Deadspin)

There is a lot of mid-week action in European soccer tonight, with a full slate of La Liga fixtures, some German Cup action, and a couple of Premier League games. The big match is the Merseyside Derby. Klopp is apparently a bit worried about a rough game, not wanting to see any of his players suspended, he told them to "hurt yourself, not someone else."
