Thomas Davis Shows Off Gross Post-Surgical Stitching on Arm

It is definitely gross!

After losing Super Bowl 50 to the Broncos last night, Thomas Davis posted a picture of the stitched-up wound on his right arm after having surgery two weeks ago and—fair warning—it is pretty gross! The Panthers linebacker broke his forearm two weeks ago in the NFC Championship against the Cardinals and vowed to get back on the field for the Super Bowl. He had surgery that following Monday and was somehow able to not only play last night but start and collect five tackles with a bulky wrapping around his arm.

Two weeks, as you might have guessed, is not a long recovery time. Two weeks is barely enough time for a paper cut to go away. So how does invasive surgery look? Well, I'm glad you are so fascinated by disgusting things and asked, because Thomas Davis supplied the answer. Look below if you like.

His arm looks like a goddamned football. In the caption to the photo, Davis told his followers that he wasn't trying to draw attention to his toughness; rather, he wanted to show his support and love for his teammates and everyone associated with the Panthers.

From Instagram:

This post is not about me, or how tough I am. It's not to shine any light on me or my injuries. Our team doctors and trainers did an amazing job giving me an opportunity to get back on the field. This post is strictly to show how much love I have for my brothers and #PantherNation. Thank you all for your support and we will #KeepPounding.-TD

Very touching. Very gross.
