Dez Bryant Accuses Reporter of Using the N-Word, Goes on Intense Locker Room Rant

The whole thing is a mess.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is either hearing things or has a very real reason to be pissed off—though it seems most likely the former.

Today, during a media session in the Cowboys locker room, Bryant claimed to have heard a reporter refer to his teammate Devin Street using the N-word, and then subsequently went off in a tirade against two reporters, according to USA Today. However, other reporters on hand said that the N-word was, in fact, not uttered.

Here's what we know of the situation through a fairly fragmented set of reports:

Apparently, Bryant overheard ESPNDallas.com reporter Jean Jacques-Taylor interviewing Bryant's fellow wide receiver Devin Street, in which, Bryant claims, Jacques-Taylor dropped the N-word. (Jacques-Taylor later appeared on Dallas 103.3 FM to deny Bryant's claim, and says other reporters were on hand and can corroborate that no racial slurs were used.)

Robert Klemko, a reporter from The MMQB, then tweeted out the following:

Dez Bryant just blew up on reporter, went on 10-min rant. "Until they stop disrespecting this team I don't give a f---. Mother------- sick!"

Bryant then caught wind of Klemko's tweet, and subsequently blew up at him.

"What the (expletive) are you doing?" Bryant yelled at Klemko, according to USA Today. "If you're going to report something, report it right! Report the whole thing. Don't single me out like that! … That the shit I'd be talking about right there!"

Then Bryant turned to Rich Dalrymple, head of Cowboys media relations (as seen in the video above), and started tearing in.

"How about you fix this shit, Rich?" he said. "How about you fix it, Rich? You're talking to the wrong people. You're talking to the wrong people. I'll make sure I'll put it out then. Since y'all not going to say nothing."

And so that's exactly what Bryant did. He went to Twitter.
