After much international pressure and advocacy campaigns, FIFA announced it would delay its decision on settlement-based football clubs in the occupied West Bank. For the past two years, the Israel Football Association and the Palestinian Football Association have been at odds over the membership of six Israeli football clubs playing on illegal settlements.
