Milo Yiannopoulos is banking on Berkeley for his comeback

Following his spectacular fall resulting from comments condoning sexual relationships between young boys and adults, conservative mega-troll Milo Yiannopoulos announced he’ll return to the University of California, Berkeley this fall to hold a week of “free-speech rallies.”

In February, Yiannopolous was invited to speak at the university, but a mob of opponents hurling rocks and Molotov cocktails forced Berkeley to cancel the event. The same greeting awaited a scheduled April appearance there by Ann Coulter, leading to another cancellation.

That’s the kind of reaction on which right-wing provocateurs thrive, and now Yiannopoulos is set to bait the mob again in an attempted return to relevance.

This segment originally aired April 27, 2017, on VICE News Tonight on HBO.
