Sure, the name Emptiness isn't exactly the most original on the planet, but what lies on the record makes up for it in multiples. Esoteric but not to a fault, Emptiness craft black death with a particularly steady hand, keeping their truly interesting compositions in that sweet spot between ripping and challenging. Their second track, "Nothing but the Whole" is a particularly strong indication of the weird trip these guys are on, and is streaming below in full. Dark, challenging, melancholic, and just plain badass."Nothing but the Whole" comes from the band's new LP of the same name. look for it via Dark Descent ahead of it's May 27th release.
