It's a bright song that will lift your spirits, if that's what you're into.

Hockey Dad is a surf-rock duo out of Australia that embodies surf-rock so hard that listening to them or even just looking at them might make you think you’re on a beach, skating down the boardwalk, trying not to fall off the edge. Put a helmet on before you check out this song. The pair recently signed with Kanine Records, too, so get ready to be seeing and hearing a lot more from them soon. Maybe you should just keep that helmet on?

"We ended up writing 'So Tired' after a few cold ones at our manager's bar back in Wollongong," Zach Stephenson (guitars/vocals) and Billy Fleming (drums) said of the song in an email. "It's about feeling buggered and missing someone at the same time.”

If you replace “someone” with “my bed” or “surfing,” the sentiment still applies. It's a bright song that will lift your spirits, so give it a listen below. Their album, Boronia, will be released on August 12 on Kanine Records.
